The PA CareerLink is a one-stop job center that provides an array of employment and training services in a convenient, easily accessible location. Services include job counseling, testing and assessment; resume preparation assistance, interview training and other prejob guidance services; job matching and referral; unemployment insurance and job registration; labor market and career information; information on financial aid for education and training; and referral for job training, transportation, child care, personal and financial counseling, health care and other human services resources in the community. Offers services and resources along every step of the job search process. This includes: resume and cover letter-writing; job search assistance; an Internet-accessible computer lab; and mock interview simulations. Clients are provided with individualized attention from volunteer career consultants who possess backgrounds in a number of professional fields. Workshops also offered. Call for specifics. Women may come to the Career Center to use the resources available to conduct their own, independent job search but they are encouraged to call first to set up an appointment.


Assists with resume writing, job leads, interview preparation training referrals, and career assistance for adults and youth. A career counselor for youth, ages 14 to 21, helps with job readiness, resume preparation and job search/placement. Free computer classes offered.


Provides career counseling, job search assistance and career development services for individuals who are unemployed or underemployed, career changers and those looking to re-enter the workforce or enter the workforce for the first time. An ongoing series of workshops is free to all who are interested and includes everything from the art of networking and resume writing to a job seekers' support group. Immigrant employment specialists provide employment services to immigrants. Also open to the public is a CDC center with access to computers and many other resources to assist in job searching.


State unemployment compensation benefits are available to Pennsylvania residents who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. Residents may be eligible for up to 26 weeks of regular state-funded benefits. During high unemployment periods, additional weeks of Extended Benefits are available for a limited time depending upon Pennsylvania's total unemployment rate. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

Through no-cost group workshops and one-on-one career coaching, PA Women Work participants have the opportunity to address the barriers they might be experiencing in their career or employment search with a helping hand to guide them every step of the way.”

The Job and Career Education Center (JCEC) at CLP – Main hosts regular workshops on topics ranging from computer skills, resume development, nonprofit management, and getting a job. These courses are listed on our events calendar and change frequently.
